One of our most important aims is to ensure that our staff team are our biggest asset, for this reason we invest a great deal of time ensuring they are fully trained to the best of our ability and up to date with current legislation and our nursery policies. This includes ensuring all DBS checks are completed.
Recruiting staff at nursery thankfully doesn't happen very often and so when it does we always ensure that the candidate really does fit into our current team.
We currently employ 20 staff to work with the children, 19 of these staff hold a relevant level 3 qualification or above in childcare, with 1 member of staff being qualified to level 2. In addition to this staff have also attended Paediatric First Aid training. Staff regularly attend mandatory training and training relating to specific strengths and interests of their role.
We take a great deal of pride in our staffs ability to care for every individual child's needs and we feel we provide an environment where staff consistently ensure that children are safe, happy and healthy. All of our staff understand the importance of building relationships with both the children and their families and we feel this enables them to become successful learners.
We do feel that it is very important for us to pass on our skills and knowledge to future Nursery Nurses and for this reason occasionally we may have students on placement from local Colleges and Universities.
